Horn player Jože Rošer was born in 1989 in Slovenj Gradec, Slovenia. He attended elementary music school in Slovenj Gradec in the class of prof. Martin Šmon. He continued his music studies at High school for Music in Velenje in the class of prof. Robert Prednik. After successful graduation and passing the entrance exams, he then enrolled in the class of prof. Boštjan Lipovšek at the Academy of Music Ljubljana, which he graduated with honors in 2012. After a year he got excepted to Mozarteum Salzburg to do his master studies with prof. Radovan Vlatković. During that time, he also studied as a member of Erasmus programme at the State University of Music and Performing Arts Stuttgart in the class of prof. Erich Penzel and prof. Christian Lampert.

He competed at the Slovenian national competition for young musicians TEMSIG on six occasions, earning two second prizes and silver plaques (2002, 2005) and two first prizes and golden plaques (2008,2011) as a solo artist and two first prizes and golden plaques (2010, 2013) as a member of horn quartet and a member of brass quintet Contrast. He received a Students Prešeren award in 2009 for his achievements with the Academy of Music brass ensemble and another one in 2010 for his performance of Lars Erik Larsson’s Concertino with Slovenian Philharmonics chamber orchestra. During his studies he performed both of Strauss’ Horn Concertos: No.1 with Symphonic Orchestra RTV Slovenia and No. 2 with Slovenian Philharmonics. He is a member of international woodwind quintet Quintetto Spirito and international brass group Worldbrass. His brass quintet Contrast is the winner of Slovenian national competition TEMSIG (2013) and of other notable international competions such as Svirel 2014 and Jan Koetsier Munich 2014.

He took part in masterclasses by many professors: Stefan Dohr, Radek Baborak, Johannes Hinterholzer, Luiz Garcia, Jacques Zoon, Markus Bruggaier, Georg Pohle and others. He collaborated with numerous orchestras: London symphony orchestra (LSO), Frankfurt radio orchestra, Göteborgs Symfoniker, Australian Chamber Orchestra, West Australian Symphony orchestra, Klangforum Wien, European Union Youth Orchestra, Young Euro Classic, Symphonic orchestra RTV Slovenia, Zagreb Philharmonics…

Jože is currently a solo horn player in Slovenian Philharmonics and working at Academy of Music in Ljubljana as assistant professor.

Martin Sikur studied cello with Ciril Škerjanc at the Academy of Music in Ljubljana, with Enrico Bronzi and Giovanni Gnocchi at the Fondazione Musicale Santa Cecilia in Portogruaro, and chamber music with Chia Chou at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Graz. He has received several awards and recognitions for his musical work. He studied cello and chamber music with renowned professors (H. E. Deckert, B. Gmelin, W.-S. Yang, M. Ostertag, E. Schoenfeld, T. Brandis, G. Gnocchi). From 2001 to 2005 he was a member of the Gustav Mahler Youth Orchestra. He performs as a soloist or chamber musician at home and abroad. He plays in the piano trio Ars Musica, the M.ARS String Quartet and the Artes Liberales Ensemble. Martin Sikur is a member of the Slovenian Philharmonic Orchestra.

Saša Lešnjek is a 24-year-old singer, lyricist and voice actress from Ljubljana.  In 2018, she graduated from the Conservatory of Music and Ballet in Ljubljana, where she attended the jazz singing program.  After that, she also improved her jazz singing skills at the music academy in Graz.  In 2017, she won a gold plaque in the jazz solo category at the Temsig music competition.

She became known to the wider Slovenian public when she was chosen for the role of Sandy in our biggest musical “Briljantina”.  This was not her first experience with musicals, as she had previously jumped in for the lead role in the musical Vesna.

Shortly after the premiere of Briljantina, she released her first song “Najino poletje” and since then has released nine more singles.  In 2020, she recorded the song “Together we can do everything” with Rene Markič, which was used in a commercial for the Lidl retail chain.  In 2021, she participated in Melodije morja in sonca with the song “Kaj bi svet brez upanja” and received the Danilo Kocjančič award for the most promising author or performer.  This song was later nominated for “Best New Song of 2021” by RTV Slovenia.  She performs a lot with the Big Band and Symphony Orchestra of RTV Slovenia, at their concerts and subscriptions, among other things she performed five times as a soloist at the Summer Night concert (in 2018, 2020, 2021, 2022 and 2023).  In 2022, she performed for the first time at the Slovenska popevka festival with the composition “Sama”.  She has already been invited to participate by many renowned Slovenian musicians, among others, in 2022 she released the duet “Glas srca” in collaboration with Omar Naber, in 2023 she released her first composition in collaboration with Magnific – Tipi z Jeepi, which she presented at Melodije morja in sonca 2023, and at the end of 2023 she also released a Christmas duet with Oto Pestner.

She is also very active in the field of dubbing cartoons (she was, for example, the voice of Disney’s Snow White).  She is one of the most active creators of the young generation in our country, and in 2022 she also released her first album entitled “Zaljubljena v ta svet” with a sold-out concert.

Violinist Mojca Menoni Sikur graduated from the Academy of Music in Ljubljana in the class of Dejan Bravničar. At the same academy in 2003, she successfully completed  postgraduate studies with Vasilij Meljnikov. She perfected with Pavel Vernikov at the Fondazione Musicale Santa Cecilia in Portogruaro (Italy) and at numerous international master classes with renowned professors (V. Snitil, C. Hutcap, I. Ozim, HW Meyer, D. Schwarzberg, L. Honda Rosenberg ). She is the first prize winner of the Competition of Young Musicians of Slovenia and the winner of two Prešeren Student Awards. She performs as a soloist or chamber musician at home and abroad. She plays with pianist Jerneja Grebenšek and cellist Martin Sikur in the piano trio Ars Musica. They studied together  with pianist Chia Chou at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Graz. She is a member of the M.ARS String Quartet and the Artes Liberales Ensemble. Mojca Menoni Sikur is the Principal of 2nd violins in the RTV Slovenia Symphony Orchestra.

Lorenzo Cossi, born in Trieste, Italy, Lorenzo Cossi has been internationally acclaimed as one of the five finalists at the “Esther Honens” International Piano Competition in Calgary, Canada. His performance of the Brahms first Piano Concerto in D minor with the Calgary Philharmonic Orchestra under the baton of Roberto Minczuk received a standing ovation. The Cincinnati Enquirer wrote “Cossi’s technique and command of sonority were simply stunning. He produced lush, orchestral sounds and performed amazing feats, but always with a refined touch”.
Lorenzo has performed worldwide in some of the most important concert halls, such as the Berliner Philharmonie, the Hamburg “Elbphilharmonie”, the Wiener Konzerthaus and Musikverein, the Luxembourg Philharmonie (Great Hall), the “La Fenice” theatre in Venice. Lorenzo completed his studies at the “G. Tartini” conservatory in his hometown under the guideance of Giuliana Gulli, sister of the beloved violinist Franco Gulli. His musical education developed also with other important artists, such as Nino Gardi, Elisso Virsaladze, Joaquìn Achùcarro, William Grant Naborè and Jerome Lowenthal. He had the opportunity to study at the International Piano Academy “Lake Como” and the “Accademia Chigiana” in Siena. In 2011 he was one of only ten pianists selected worldwide to take part to the Music Academy of the West summer Festival in Santa Barbara, California. His repertoire ranges from the baroque era to contemporary music, with a special interest
for Jazz music and improvisation (he often plays improvised encores after his recitals).
Lorenzo has always been fascinated by chamber music, and had the possibility to
collaborate with many important musicians such as cellists Christian Poltera and Johannes Moser, violinists Esther Hoppe, Federico Agostini, Amiram Ganz and Geoff Nuttal, clarinetist Massimiliano Miani from Slovenian Philharmonic Orchestra, flutist Walter Auer from Wiener Philharmoniker and many others. In particular, he regularely plays with cellist Marianna Sinagra, a long-term partnership dating back to 2009. The “Duo Sinossi” won third prize at the “V. Gui” International Chamber Music Competition
in Firenze, one of the most important competitions of its kind. In the recent years, they recorded the complete works for cello and piano by L. van Beethoven, J. Brahms and R. Schumann, published by OnClassical Label. For the same label he published the four Sonatas for piano solo op. 7, op. 14 (n. 1 and 2) and op. 81a “Les adieux” by L. van Beethoven and recently recorded the last
“Klavierstücke” (op. 116, 117, 118 and 119) by Johannes Brahms, available on all online
stores. A prize winner of the “Rina Sala Gallo competition” in Monza, the “G. Pecar” competition in Gorizia, the “Academy Award” in Rome and many others, Lorenzo has been twice in the finals of the prestigious International “F. Busoni” Piano competition in Bolzano. He appeared as soloist with important orchestras, such as Luxembourg Philharmonic, “J.Haydn” orchestra in Bozen, “I Solisti Veneti” and others. A passionate teacher, Lorenzo is currently a piano professor at the “Gustav Mahler” Privatuniversität in Klagenfurt, Austria.

Luka Poljanec, born on August 13th, 1999, is a classical percussionist. He learned his first skills at the Franca Šturma Music School under the guidance of Professor Nebojša Dačković, and at the age of fourteen, he enrolled in the Conservatory of Music and Ballet Ljubljana where he was taught by the excellent Simon Klavžar. Under his mentorship, Luka has received numerous gold awards at various competitions (TEMSIG, Svirel, Universal Marimba Competition Belgium) and has performed several solo recitals. In 2018, KGBL awarded him the Škerjančeva nagrada for outstanding achievements and artistic affirmation of the school. That same year, together with Jan Čibej, he won the first prize and audience award at the International Percussion Competition in Luxembourg as part of the famous percussion duo Dendrocopos. This success brought them many concerts around the world, including full-length recitals organized by the Slovenian Music Youth, concerts at the Arsana festival in Ptuj, Virginia (USA), Plovdiv (Bulgaria), and Luxembourg. In 2019, the Academy of Music in Ljubljana awarded them the Prešeren Award. Luka continued his studies at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater München in Germany under the guidance of Alexej Gerassimez, where he graduated with honors in 2022. Now as a skilled performer of contemporary music, he collaborates on various projects (Gymnastics of sense/nonsense – Matej Bonin), performs at renowned festivals (Slowind, Forum of New Music, Clarinetism, Ljubljana Jazz Festival), and is a substitute in the orchestras of RTV Slovenia and the Slovenian Philharmonic. He is a member of some folk and jazz ensembles, and with the band Gugutke, for example, he has performed at many venues, including the Druga godba and MENT festivals.

Kerlci are a 7-member band that has been working since 2013 and does not want to set boundaries when it comes to music creation. In our repertoire you will find folk music, pop, jazz, classical and rock music. In 2019, we emerged as the winners of the Volkswagen špila festival, and in 2020, we ventured into the Slovenian polka and waltz competition for the first time. Apart from these achievements, we take pride in the fact that our musical journeys allow us to encounter wonderful individuals with whom we can share the most memorable moments of our lives. We are Marko Jenko, David Ravnikar, Lenart Sušnik, Matija Škrlep, Tomaž Škrlep, Manca Kavčič Zupan and Matej Zupan.
